In her interactive event, Pari will speak about the ideas and inspiration behind Greenwild.

The audience will then enter a mysterious world of marine magic and water plants, as Pari delves into Greenwild: The City Beyond the Sea. There will be readings, plus a creative task for pupils that will engage their imaginations. Pupils will come away feeling inspired to both pen their own magical worlds and look for the magic in the natural world around them.

Suitable for Years 3-6

Pari’s events are one hour, though this can be reduced - just let us know how long the schools want the event to be. For a one hour event, it is 50 mins of Pari speaking and a creative task for pupils, then the final 10 mins for questions. Then additional time for a signing afterwards.

BOOK BLURB

Daisy Thistledown's magical adventure continues in The City Beyond the Sea, the spellbinding, beautifully-illustrated sequel to Blackwell's Children's Book of the Year and Overall Waterstones Children's Book Prize winner, Greenwild: The World Behind the Door by Pari Thomson. Across the ocean, an enchanting journey with an environmental twist awaits.

Daisy Thistledown and the Five O'Clock Club might have defeated a terrifying enemy, but their journey to find the missing Botanists is just beginning. Their only hope: to find the legendary Iffenwild, a mysterious city hidden beyond the sea and lost to time.

But a strange, wild magic is stirring beneath the waves. It will take all of Daisy’s courage and determination – and the trust of a new friend – if she is to discover the truth that haunts Iffenwild, and save the magical world before it’s too late.
